Questions

Frequently asked

We carry out the full carpentry package and work alongside trusted structural engineers, building control, plasterers and electricians. If you need a fully managed conversion we can point you in the right direction and take care of all the timber work.

A cut roof is a roof built from individual timbers cut and assembled on site, rather than pre-made trusses. It suits irregular shapes, extensions and character properties where trusses won't fit, and it's a traditional skill we specialise in.

Almost always. Existing ceiling joists are rarely strong enough for a habitable room, so new floor joists are installed to a structural engineer's design. Handling that structural carpentry correctly is central to what we do.

Yes. Fitting a safe, comfortable staircase is part of the conversion, and we also complete the second-fix joinery once the structure is signed off by building control.
